LOCAL CASE STUDIES
Across this research, the team has been engaging with a wide variety of local communities who have been involved with aspects of sustainable communities. Common to all these communities has been the sharing of knowledge on their notion of sustainability, and for many collaborative working between local residents, volunteers and professionals.
The research initiative highlighted in its conclusions the value of learning how to work together and sharing knowledge, insights and aspirations as part of the process of successful place making
We have put together a set of case studies which provide examples of where such practices have proved effective, some where learning to change differently has been the outcome, and in a few cases where the expectations of all participants have been achieved.
